One recently made allegation against artist Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is that his “anti-Semitism” has led to the increased persecution and violence toward Jewish people in America. One pundit, Ari Rubin, who happens to be Jewish, cried that FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, who currently faces up to 115 years in prison on charges including wire fraud, commodities fraud, securities fraud, money laundering, and campaign finance law violations, is “suffering the wrath brought on by Ye’s antisemitism.”
While Ye has obviously never incited violence against anyone, we can also be assured that he is not responsible for Bankman-Fried’s downfall, which has nothing to do with the fact of him being Jewish. Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas in December for stealing $1.8 billion. His cryptocurrency operation has since been described as a “Ponzi scheme,” and he himself has been described as “disgraced” by all corners of the media, even those that Ye criticizes.
