As his name garners buzz in the conversation of the 2024 Presidential race, billionaire artist and fashion designer Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was accused by one outlet of being pro-China.
Well, the Yeezy CEO should have cleared up any such allegations back in September, when he terminated his clothing brand’s deal with Gap, large in part due to his desire to make America independent from Chinese commitments in trade, distribution, and manufacturing. Ye said of Gap, “They have a lot of commitments to China…We want to do localized manufacturing… We can actually bring industry back to America.”
