CLAIM:

Ye is anti-Semitic

False
  • Ye met with a Messianic Jewish congregation, was warmly received.
  • In his interview with Alex Jones, Ye repeatedly declared his love for everyone, including Jews like Benjamin Netanyahu.
  • Ye pens “Love Speech” to Ari Emanuel, whom he attributes to be the culprit of him losing $2 billion.
  • The term “Semitic” is not exclusive to Jewish people and instead relates to a family of languages, including Hebrew, Arabic, Aramaic, Phoenician and Akkadian, which form the main subgroup of the Afro-Asiatic language family.

In recent weeks, billionaire musician and fashion designer Ye has come under much scrutiny from US and international media outlets, largely in part due to his December 1st interview with Alex Jones. Among the false allegations put forth by the Red Media, “antisemite” has undeniably been the most common.

In one article for the Washington Post, Andreas Kluth berated those who “just call Ye and his ilk deranged and move on,” in a histrionic tirade against what he called “Nazi porn.” Kluth is one of many journalists who accused Ye of being anti-Semitic for his comments on Jones’ show, including ““There’s a lot of things that I love about Hitler, a lot of things” and “I am a Nazi.” Additionally, David Friedman, the former US Ambassador to Israel (who happens to be Jewish), fired a tweet at ex-President Donald Trump that described Ye and his new friend Nick Fuentes as an “antisemite” and “human scum,” before demanding that Trump “throw those bums out, disavow them and relegate them to the dustbin of history where they belong.”

In particular, the anti-Semite accusation begs the question: What does it mean to be an “anti-Semite?” After all, the term “Semitic” is not exclusive to Jewish people–instead it relates to a family of languages, including Hebrew, Arabic, Aramaic, Phoenician and Akkadian, which form the main subgroup of the Afro-Asiatic language family. This information implies that “anti-Semite” is not a term that actually carries any moral weight, but rather, is used as a room-clearer to instantly dismiss the remarks of anyone who dares to question the nature of Jewish Power in America, such as Ye.

Still, Ye has exhibited in his words and actions that he is not definitively anti-Semitic, whatever the term actually means. In fact, he has shown that he is not anti-anyone. Following the release of a hit-piece against him by Jewish CEO Ari Emanuel, Ye took to Instagram to proclaim his and Jesus’ love for Emanuel, despite the fact that Ye implied his belief that the hit piece caused him to lose over 2 billion dollars.

During the Interview with Jones, Ye further clarified his love for Jews and all of humanity, saying “I love Jewish people, but I also love Nazis,” citing his Christian faith as his inspiration. When Jones pressed Ye on the subject, he clarified again, stating, “I love the Zionists–I love the people that blocked my bank account–because God runs the world and uses everyone.” Later, he affirmed his universal love yet again, stating that he loves Benjamin Netanyahu, whom he knew nothing about, until the former Israeli Prime Minister demanded that President Trump condemn his meeting with Ye and Fuentes.
